Let's do another random episode poll here on Voyager board.

An episode from each season picked by yours truly. I deliberately chose episodes, which have not necessarily been the most popular or talked about.

And the episodes are:

- The Learning Curve
- Dreadnought
- Sacred Ground
- Nemesis
- Juggernaut
- Ashes to Ashes
- Drive

Which one of these you find best (or least bad, if none of the aforementioned episodes is your cup of tea)?

I had to think about these choices for a moment, as I have not seen some of these for a long time. Nemesis had a really cool concept and I enjoyed it a lot.

I've always liked "Dreadnaught". I thought the early seasons of the show did a very good job with Torres episodes with her facing off...with hereself. Plus I liked that they were following up on the Maquis stuff that got DROPPED far too soon for my tastes.

Toss up between Drive and Ashes to Ashes.

I picked Ashes because it was decent Harry Kim episode.

You know they didn't have enough good Kim episodes. I played this video game that had the Voyager crew in it. I can't remember what it was called, but while it was loading on my computer there was a drawing of the crew plastered on my screen and I was like....who's that guy? And it was Harry Kim.

Oh. I think it was Elite Force.

Tough call between "Learning Curve" and "Sacred Ground" but in the end had to go with the latter due to the interesting (well, to me anyway) faith vs. science storyline.

When 'Sacred Ground' first aired I really strongly disliked it. But last year I rewatched most of Voyager and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it the 2nd time around; years after the fact. :bolian:

I do remember my little sister making fun of me during "Learning Curve" because I was smitten with the cute Bajoran boy. She took great pleasure in my discomfort, worrying about his possible death in the latter half of the episode. I was disappointed that we never saw him again. :(

Actually he reappears on Season 7. :)

Er, Tach, I fear I can't vote for any of these :wtf:

I dislike all these eps rather equally.

I think you're thinking of the Bolian guy, Chell. The Bajoran hottie (Gerron) never reappeared.

I'm surprised that Nemesis is going so strong (at this point at least). Not that it was bad episode, but I guess I assumed Chakotay is/was not very popular character and this is Chakotay-centric episode.

None of them any of my top favorites but I vote for "Learning Curve" because of some good interaction between the characters and for the characters of Dalby, Henley, Chell and Gerron which were good characters which I would have liked to see more off.

I like "Sacred Ground" as well and "Dreadnought" was exciting in a way. "Nemesis" was actually a good Chakotay episode.

One of the things that impressed me with early, first season Voyager episodes was that they seemed to get the recurring characters right. Like, the writers at that time, seemed to understand that these were the only crew members we were going to see for 7 years and that they ought to develope the background characters...or at least that's how I took it with Seska and Durst, Carey... It was just one thing I loved about Voyager at that time (before it became mostly obvious that this was never going to pay off) - but I remember seeing this episode as an introduction to 4 new recurring characters and I was very happy with it for that reason. And then these 4 new interesting characters just disappeared. They eventually brought back Chell (and Carey for that matter), which was nice, but to me felt like too little, too late. So...at the time I loved this episode as the beginning of something special, but in retrospect I grade it lower on my scale, as more a missed opportunity than anything else. Gerron is still cute though. lol

Wasn't he the Bajoran they found unconscious in the holodeck movie program in "Repression"?

All of those episodes are a bit iffy. 'Nemesis' was probably the most interesting one; the last interesting Chakotay episode? There was the nice twist at the end of Chakotay's allies turning out to be the bad guys. I wouldn't give it more than 3/5 though.

'Learning Curve' was maybe the last look at the Maquis in a critical way, a subject that often courts bad feelings. It was a nice episode for Tuvok, but pretty average fair. 2.5/5

'Dreadnought' is good for B'Elanna, and having the Dreadnaught being voiced by her was a nice touch. The countdown to doomsday was a pit overplayed though, so another 2.5/5

'Sacred Ground' was a load of crap, from what I remember. 1/5

'Juggernaut' was during B'Elanna's schizophrenic season. This was better than 'Sacred Ground,' but not 'Lurning Curve' or 'Dreadnaut,' so 2/5

'Ashes to Ashes' was a decent Harry Kim episode (which never happened very often!), even if it reinvented his backstory somewhat. The character that died on Voyager in the past is someone the audience have never seen before, making it hard to care. She is likeable at least. 3/5

'Drive' was a bit of fluff - Tom getting to race the Delta Flyer, Harry choosing the wrong girl *again.* Tom and B'Elanna getting hitched at the end was nice, and eventually turned into a decent arc for the rwo of them for the year. 2/5

Sacred Ground

Firstly:
because its fun to see Janeway going through all the "pointless rituals" when all she had to do was sit down and talk - great idea/story.

Secondly:
Just to give it another vote, as I could have gone for Nemesis - Chacotay is not nearly my fave character, but it is another great story.

I agree. Sacred Ground has a good story in it. I enjoy it and it is definitely rewatchable one.
