Another boring thread

Miss Chicken

even more boring than my handbag thread.

Its about keys. How many do you have on your keyring/s and what else dangles from your keyring/s?

I only have two keys - a house key that fits both front and back door, and a key the small padlock on my shed.

Here is a photo that shows what dangles from my keyring.

I've got my keychain which is a #2 brass hook I pilfered from a boat I rode on once
the keys are
house
dad's house
car
car remote fob
work
and my 8GB LaCie iamaKey (which is the best thumb drive ever)

I always put the keychain in my right pocket with the hook on the corner of my pocket so I can take my keys out quickly

I just separated my keys into two rings. The first which I carry at all times has keys I use on a daily or weekly basis as well as little key cards for the gym, etc. and a speed pass for the gas station. The other has keys I rarely use and some little metal placards with my and my Godson's name. That's now kept elsewhere. I just had too much stuff to fit comfortably in a pocket.

OK, my keys are:

Front Security door.
Front wooden door (which is never locked since it can't really close anymore).
Upstairs door (which is never locked anymore).
My room key.
Back Security door.
Back wooden door.

My car key is on it's own key ring since that one has the key fob for the alarm.

My keys are attached to an orange triceratops, and they are:
bicycle lock key
mailbox key
building gate key
building door key
apartment door key
bedroom door key
mom's house key
dad's house key
and four mystery keys

My key ring contains:

The key to my apartment door.

The key for the deadbolt lock on the outer security door.

The key to the building's laundry room.

The padlock key for my carport storage locker.

My mailbox key.

My car key is on a detachable thingy for parking attendants.

Yep, pretty boring.

Mine is rather simple; my mother's house key, a little plastic Klingon battlecruiser, and that's it at present. I did have a little bronze dragon from a trip to Krakow and a mini-plaque with the definition of my name on it; both of these fell off. :)

car key
house key
mailbox key
tennis court key (I've never used the tennis court at my apartment complex, but I still carry the key. I don't know why.)
pool key
library card (three, for different cities in the area)
Safeway card

At first, I was opposed to having those little keychain cards, but they save space in my wallet, so I'm cool with them.

Five keys, a Maglite Solitaire, a PRETEC 1GB BulletProof USB Flash Drive and a victorinox classic sd pocket knife.

Keyring 1

dorm room key
office key
car key
vacation house

Keyring 2

2 flash cards (one with a collection of Ward science catalogs)
safe key
lock key
a key from an old job

Hey, if you lose your keys a lot, I saw on this documentary the other night that when you drop your keys when you get home... if you imagine them *exploding* the moment you drop them, you will always remember where you put them.

Isn't that neat? (They don't actually have to explode. You have to imagine)

the usual suspects:

house keys
car keys n' fobs
office keys
key to mum in laws house
a couple I have no idea but if I throw them away I am certain to find they are for something I cannot live without.

This is my favorite thing I've read today. I think from now on I am going to make everything explode as a memory technique!

I have my keys on a blue carabiner (a relic from the days I used to work at an outdoor/camping/yuppie store---which is like Orson Welles working at Jenny Craig, but whatever.....)

I have far too many keys. I have:

my mailbox key
my front door key
the key for the back door
the key to my car
the alarm button for my car
the key to hubby's car
the key to my mother in law's house
the key to my mother's house--back door
the key to my mother's house--front door
the key to my mother's house--garage

I also have all those damn little bar-code cards hanging on my key ring:

one for Kroger's
one for Randall's
one for CVS
one for AAA (American Automobile Association)
one for Progressive Ins.

I'm too lazy to go and get my keys from my coat pocket, so let's see if I can do this from memory:

- apartment door key
- apartment deadbolt key
- storage locker key
- mailbox key
- locker key for bowling alley
- a mystery key: I have no idea what it's for (it's probably for my ex-in-laws' house - I think they told me to hang on to it, even though I haven't seen them in 10+ years)
- and a souvenir charm from the first Pet Shop Boys concert I ever attended

Since I left BMC, I have less than half the keys I used to. Now I just have my car key, front door, apartment door and parents' house. And the remote control thing for my car that I never use (but can't get rid of because my alarm sometimes decides to turn itself on).
