What a handome fellow! We have some in Bavaria but not yet in my area. I know them only from the zoo.

we're getting invaded by them as well. But they come from the northwest and I live at the southeast, at the edge of a national park with wolves and lynxes and wild cats. I think that slows the racoon invasion down a bit. Atm they apparently get eaten faster than they can propagate.
We got a few racoon-dogs recently, coming from Eastern Europe. But they are very shy and so far I only saw their tracks. They look a bit like wolverines.

We're actually getting more coyotes in our region, so the raccoon population might go down a bit.
