Androids

Androids are featured often in both TOS and the Twilight Zone (original series). But to date as far as I am aware of an Android has not been built. Back in the 60's I guess people thought by 2016 Androids would be all over the planet but this never happened. Do you think it will? Perhaps it will but certainly not in my lifetime (age 38).
