You can’t get any more confirmed by Disney than that, unless you reanimate the corpse of Walt himself to say it.

Yeah, the new information we got was the release window, logo, and first look video. The existence of the show has been a fact since the original announcement.
When something is talked about by the CEO and other higher ups of a company at an official event, then it's not a rumor. Something is only rumored when it is talked about by other people, and not by the company itself.
