I suppose to a lower degree lots of shows focused around kids sort of do that. Malcolm in the Middle, Wonder Years for example focuses on kids being kids early on but towards the end they start focusing more on teenager stuff. "Stranger Things" also but I think in that case, the teens were suppose to e still younger than they looked in the final couple of seasons.

I guess so, but I feel like Harry Potter as a saga spans a much wider range as it was always going to be the focus. Meanwhile those shows just kind of went on did their thing.

Oh, and I can find a few more examples: Chrissy Seaver and Leonardo DiCaprio on Growing Pains.

I kind of feel sorry for Sean Bean, but he's kind of made it part of his brand at this point. Imagine having to tell his family he's on a show, only to have to tell them he dies at the end. "Good news, I'm on a really exciting show. But I die at the end of the first season."

At least Snowpiercer subverted that expectation a bit by having his character last throughout the 2nd and 3rd seasons, dying in season 4. He must have been glad for that. It must have been a bit easier for him to tell his family that he has a bit more work.

That's kind of ironic given he was serving in a military during a war. It seems like it's the ordinary people he plays that end up dead.

Danny Trejo has the record for most on-screen deaths, but he pumps out so many low budget movies every year most people have never even heard of them. Christopher Lee and Lance Henriksen are way up there too. Sean Bean doesn't die a lot, it's just that his deaths are in stuff people actually watch. It's like how Gary Oldman has more good guy roles than bad guys roles, but more people have seen his bad guy roles.
