It sort of sputtered out years ago and has been running on fumes for awhile. Ironically though they may have saved the best for last with Superman and Lois.

The irony is that Crisis killed them.

Zorro of the Future would have a light sabre.

    Has that ever happened?

While I don't have any invested interest in any of those shows, that's some bullshit.

Yes, I know that's the nature of the business, but it's still bullshit.

Saints preserve us from managers who feel they have to remake the world to prove their own worth.

I mean, you could have just ended that sentence with "managers" and the message would still be the same. Writing the rest was just redundant.

I could have sworn there was a Marvelous Mrs. Maisel thread here at one time, but I can't find it.

The series ended as of last night. I know the show had lost it's luster somewhere mid season 3, and that season 4 was just ok. But I've stayed with it through thick and thin and I gotta say that the 5th and final season really stuck the landing. There were lots of time jumps to the past and the "future" (no later than 2005, I think), the costumes (especially Midge's) were seriously on point, and the sets were unbelievably good. The H&H Automat set, in particular, spared no expense.

I know a lot of people (reviewers, mostly) were harping about what happened to whom and this person, and that person. But really, I feel that we know mostly what happened to the various cast, as told through flash back and flash forwards during the season.

Not going to get into spoilers here, but I found the ending to be at the same time, sweet and somewhat sad. While Midge may have not found what most of us would call true happiness, She found what she really always wanted and was ultimately comfortable and content.

I really loved the final season (but I also loved the whole show), but especially the series finale. I'll certainly miss it but I think it ended at the right moment on its own terms.

I just hope Tony Shaloub wins another Emmy. His performance in the finale was especially high caliber.

I loved the show the whole time. Also it was amazing how accurate the actor playing Lenny Bruce was to what happened in real life. I also like that they didn't show when everyone died. I mean we know at various points some of the older folks are dead but we never get the when and how or anything like that. This is not the show I think were you want to see a flashback to Tony Shaloub with dementia or anything real sad like that.

Not cancelled per se, but Chuck Todd announced he's stepping down as moderator of NBC's Meet the Press. He'll be replaced by NBC News' chief White House correspondent Kristen Welker.

No tears will be shed in this house. Chuck Todd is a weasel and his tenure on Meet the Press has been godawful.

I know it’s already been mentioned that Fantasy Island has been cancelled, but Inhave been watching the last couple of episodes and I really have to hand it to the camera crew for taking such breathtaking shots. Makes me really want to visit Puerto Rico.

I am fully convinced that Zaslav wants to erase the legacy of HBO being known for high minded great tv shows that sometimes don't make lots of money but gets lots of critical claim, and replace it with cheap crappy, mostly unwatchable reality tv that will make money. It's why he is hiding away the HBO name and was quick to get shows like Succession, Barry, Westworld and now Perry Mason out the door. Make room another 90 day Finance show or something.

I thought it was bad that Kathryn Kennedy was being allowed to keep screwing up Star Wars for as long as she has but this is worst because HBO was something special and at least with SW some of the stuff sort of worked out and frankly people will keep trying until they get it right because of how much potential money their is to be had. Getting people to invest in non-franchise but peak tv shows is harder to do.

It gets worse when you realize that internationally, it's simply HBO. In Canada for instance, HBO is a licensed brand, therefore is the public facing entity, and we don't have all that other Discovery stuff along with it. What he's doing could hurt the brand elsewhere.
