And the halls of DS9 ran knee deep in blood...

A really evil idea just hit me:

Right when Gowron is trying to take the station by boarding action (WoTW)...

..Q decides to have some fun. He reaches back into the antiquity of the planet Earth, and hauls king Leonidas and his 300 men into the 24th century. Fine-tuning their minds and memories to be accepting of their new environs and mission, he puts about 20 of them in ops, and the other 280, plus Leo himself, on the promenade.

This happens about 1 minute before the first boarders beam in.

Hehe, what do you think would happen next?

Oh yeah, Q also throws a subspace anomaly in the path of the incoming Federation ships, which will cause them to take many hours longer if not a whole day to arrive, so Gowron ain't calling it off until many hours later than he did in the actual episode.

Not counting the 20 stationed in OPS, Leonidas and his 280 would hold off and kill countless klingons reminding them that hew-mons are a force to be reckoned with. They would create a "bottleneck" by forcing all of the klingons to come thru and attack between the replimatt and the jumja stick kiosk. That is until Quark gives up information concerning the stair case in his bar that leads to the upper level of the promenade, then the klingons would have the high ground and it would end...but not before Leonidas throws a jumja stick so hard it strikes Gowron on the side of the cheek.

Wow, it took an amazing number of posts to get to The Inevitable. I figured one, maybe two, TOPS.
But THREE?! :wtf:

Holy Sh*t, Batman -- the mind boggles!

Kinda looks like Sisko is trapping his evil spirit, and it's trying to escape through his forehead.

Nice.

Sounds good. But then it's ten minutes after 4 in the morning and I had three hours of sleep the night before so my judgement is way off. :D

Well, where you've got Ninjas, you know what else there must be..

I seem to recall O'Brien did say in one episode that serving on a Klingon ship was like hanging out with a bunch of 18th century Pirates...
