and........CUT!

There have been some pretty good directors of STAR TREK, from TOS and all of the other shows...of all the different TV shows, who do you think was STAR TREK's (TV ONLY) director of all time???

I like Frakes most when he's directing.

Don't forget Tim Russ and his excellent work on *Voyager's* "Living Witness".

I did quite enjoy Robert Picardo's directorial outings too, and Jonathan Frakes knows his way around a good shot setup.
 
I have trouble giving directors much credit for episodic TV. Often, there seems to be a formula that the shows develop and then incoming directors simply follow that formula. Occasionally a new effect or something is added (e.g. Let That Be Your Last Battlefield's Batman homages), but for the most part I have trouble figuring who directed anything unless I know ahead of time. Anyone else feel this way?
