An America Doctor would work

I believe the "point" was to laugh.

Still, I've said it before and I'll say it again. In the first three stories ("An Unearthly Child" through "Brink of Disaster"), the doctor is practically a "Dr. Smith" type "instigator", causing situations through his self centered world view that places him and the rest in danger. The chief difference is that he doesn't "mince" or "whimper" like Harris' character for comic effect. Hartnell played it straight.

Oh wait, you weren't talking about the Doctor someday regenerating into their first Latina incarnation?

Talk about non-gun weapons she'd have, though. That incredible smile could blind a Dalek at fifty paces.

I just recently started watching Doctor Who for the first time ever, so all I actually know IS Hartnell, who definitely starts out as a more Smith style antagonist full of secrets, while the heroes of the show are definitely the school teachers.

An America Doctor? No offence, but I don't think the fandom is ready for the Doctor to regenerate into a continent.

Hey, I think that rocks!

To the OP, I think that's a hilarious find, complete with perfectly twisted use of clips - right down to the Cyber-Man cadence of those used in the 1968 story "The Invasion". Thank you!

Especially as everything else about the show has already been Americanized...
