How would you feel about the final scene of Swan Song being a beaten up Dean on his knees in the graveyard after Sam and Gabriel/Adam fell into the abyss to Lucifer's cage?

Well knowing they both resigned for another season, I don't think it would have made that much difference. You know Sam comes back, plus it would be too much of a rehash of when Dean died, although the reveal of him tied up in the pits of Hell was visually pretty crazy to see.
