Amityville 3-D

Being extremely bored last night, I decided to watch Amityville 3-D for the first time. And, while not a bad film, and had a couple of well-known actresses in their beginning roles (Meg Ryan and Lori Loughlin), the ending was far from bizarre. From those who have seen this film, what in the heck was that thing that came out of the well in the house at the end of the movie? Obviously the ending to this film doesn't correspond to events in real life, since the house never blew up as far as I know.

But has it ever been confirmed that the house was really haunted or was it just murders?

I remember seeing this movie as a kid in about 8th grade - it was in 3-d, one of five or six movies in 1983/84 that was 3-d. I didn't remember Meg Ryan and Lori Laughlin being in it, tho... interesting!

Yeah I spotted Lori Loughlin right off the bat-- when I first saw her in this movie I was like... that's Becky from Full House! She looks really young in this film, either late teen's or early twenty's. There were some parts that I could recognize as 3-D, like the flies

i dont think it was ever confirmed as haunted though i did read somewhere that a family moved into the house after the murders and reported strange things happening i believe the press hoo haa caused the break up of the marriage though i may be wrong about that
