I never saw the subtitle as "insulting" or even corny, but I do think your sugestion of "Let's go!" is better than the one we have now.

Yeah, I like that. I think "in this forum!" is what gives the current slogan its corniness. Your idea keeps to the same theme but sounds less annoying.

I always thought it was one of the better, if not the best, of the forum taglines. I always thought the tagline was a very subtle reflection of the way that ENT may have gone against some fans' perceptions of the beginnings of earth's explorations of the [i[final frontier[/i]

The point being made is let's be humorous rather than pompous. I like the Voyager forum's subtitle.

"Enterprise: The final frontier begins here." is an improvement. It means the forum takes itself less seriously. But I, for one, had rather see a joke.
Maybe, to quote Trip (because let's admit it, he's the favourite here):

"Keep your shirt on!"
Or,
"Keep your shirt on if you're not a snazzy dresser", to combine 2 of his quotes.

"No more cheese!" or something, like,

The subtitle certainly does
Moreso than the other suggestions made.
No one has made a case for why "the final frontier begins here" doesn't reflect the premise of the show. It IS the premise of the show.

For what it's worth, I think our forum title is great and much better than the snarky one before (about ship wars). I nearly took it to the suggestions area to ask for a new one, but decided like many other suggestions, it would have no positive outcome ... even if I wore a sombrero.

I'd definitely recommend against anything about wading ankle deep or swimming metaphors
