Alternate Timeline

I've got an alternate possible timeline for you:

1. Voyager gets to the alpha quadrant after three years; the Enterprise E re-encounters the Borg, and rescues Annika Hansen, and spends a few months attempting to return to the Alpha Quadrant, and makes it back in time for Insurrection, with Annika becoming a member of the Enterprise crew.

2. the Enterprise E encounters a subspace anomaly (who knew?) after First Contact that throws them into the Delta Quadrant, they encounter the Borg again, and rescue Annika Hansen, and spend two years to get home, and find the same anomaly had reopened, bringing them back only six months after they left. They have Insurrection and Nemesis, and when Voyager returns home...they find Seven of Nine aboard. The Enterprise must have travelled to an alternate timeline and back.

Essentially, all this means is in (1), the Enterprise gets Seven, who becomes a crewmember, and (2) Enterprise and Voyager get Seven.

How would she develop differently on the Enterprise versus Voyager? Would Picard be more fatherly to her, and encourage her individuality more, to the point of using her real name? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

Picard would not indulge her childishness as much as Janeway, but Data would take extra special interest in her. Geordi would strike out with her romantically. Riker would stride about putting his foot up on things. Troi would probably be a help, unless she was driving.

Starfleet would set-up Empok Nor, Litvok Nor or some other convenient starbase (Regula-Class / Ournal-Class) & a task force of ships near the anomaly as they'd be freaked out about the possibility of The Dominion or someone equally nasty slipping into the Federation right behind Voyager & the Enterprise-E.

I agree. Riker would stride about yelling "shields up! red alert!"; kiss Troi with a beard, which she would deny ten years later. Picard, I would see him being a father figure to her, while he and Data attempt to help her explore her humanity - and teach her actual social skills (may I....please....thank you...etc.).

I'd love to see her and Geordi recreate the Seven/Harry scene in the Jeffrey's tube...that'd make the episode

And Troi would give Seven some low-cut dresses to wear around the ship while on duty

Here's a head shot: hair up; hair down (my favorite) (again) - I'm sure someone can find better head shots and match them up to this orientation. Something where Seven has her hair down, and not in that bun.

My question now would be: would Seven/Annika be in engineering or sciences?

On Voyager, she was originally put in Engineering to help B'Elanna, but Picard might not follow the same logic. He might prefer her to work sciences since he really doesn't seem to have a dedicated science officer.

That would make sense. I could see Picard assigning her as a science officer. That might also create some tension between Seven and the defacto science expert, Data.

And it would give Data the opportunity to teach her some social skills, including intonation when making requests (not demands, Seven!)...

I'd see Seven in "Operations", as a Liasson between Science & Engineering as she has skills useful in either one.
