and I have to say it's a lot better than the previous season. Season One was of very mixed quality. Here, even though there are still many average episodes, there are also a lot more genuinely good episodes. The characters felt more fleshed out on the whole and the series seemed to find its feet a little better.
Two episodes stand out as instant classics. These are "Dead Stop" and "Regeneration" - two very haunting works of solid sci-fi that constitute the best episodes of this show I've seen so far.
Other episodes I really enjoyed included the intriguing "Carbon Creek", the tremendously amusing "Singularity" and the hilarious "A Night in Sickbay".
I enjouyed other more serious episodes for different reasons. Episodes like "The Communicator", "Judgment" and "Cogenitor" were among a number of episodes that I thoroughly enjoyed.
That said, there were still the average entries. One of the worst was "Stigma", which completely bitch-slapped canon. Only a minority of Vulcans can mind-meld!!!??? This minority are treated as third-class citizens!!!??? T'Pol was FORCIBLY mind-raped!!!??? (Yeah right! We all saw "Fusion". She was as willing participant in the meld as anyone could possibly be!) Totally lame concept. Should never have been made.
