Why make a thread that promotes a link their site?

Lots of bootleg selling sites exist, that's nothing new. Linking to them is just helping them IMO. Those versed in DS9 would never buy a bootleg from them, but the link might fool some newbies who don't know that they are buying bootlegs.

Might be a good reminder to those who don't know that they shouldn't trust sites like this.
 
Well, IIRC those Chinese bootlegs had a nasty habit of being incomplete. When DS9 first came out on DVD and some people bought bootlegs, they quickly discovered they were missing the last 5 minutes of the 4th episode on every disk.

Sucked to be them.
 
I assume these have to be asian imports. These are all over ebay for all of the series and dirt cheap prices. I do not know anyone who owns them, but you can have the real thing, guaranteed, from Amazon for about $210, so it is not really a big advantage.
 
Right now on Amazon (until the end of April), you can get all 7 seasons for just about $250.
 
they're an asian bootleg - usually referred to as an official release (shrink wrap is the qualification i guess?) they're all over ebay, alot of people have paid near full price for them unfortunately. It's the same box for the different series of Star Trek with a different number for each series. As far as I know they have asian writing on the discs and have alot of problems with missing episodes or disc's that won't play.
 
I would recommend you steer clear of stuff like this. A seller on ebay lied on his page about what kind of dvds they were. They were the Asian bootlegs just like this. The episodes were out of order, of poor quality, and three of the discs were duplicated. Just buy American.
