Aliens We’ve Never Seen

I’m trying to come up with a list of Trek aliens that have only been mentioned but never seen. Mostly I’m wondering about all the non-humanoids in Trek that must be around (and that could perhaps show up in future incarnations with continuing advances in makeup and CGI) and where they could be slipped into existing canon.

No, it’s not clear to me whether the Kobheerian we saw was a biological Kobheerian or a Dopterian working for the Kobheerians.

It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen this. The Ktarian captain in TNG’s “The Game” was likely a biological Miradorn working for the Ktarians, given that her makeup was reused for the Miradorn and that Naomi Wildman’s Ktarian characteristics also didn’t resemble hers.

The Kobheerian and Dopterian makeups are more or less identical except for the noses. Even so, we saw a Dopterian theif on DS9 with a Kobheerian nose. And the Dopterian nose itself seemed to change over time from a straight up Ferengi one to something else.

I think it’s possible we’ve only seen Dopterians.

The inhabitants of Vendikar (TOS - A Taste of Armageddon)? Presumably not the same species as on Eminiar. No idea if they are nonhumanoid, though.

Have we actually seen a Tzenkethi before? (DS9's The Adversary).

And they were mentioned. They were the aliens I thought of first when I opened this thread.

Interesting take. I always took it that, since they were in the same star system, that they were the same species as Eminiar
 
Malgorian

In DS9’s episode “Progress,” Mullibok referred to the indecisiveness of a two-headed Malgorian he once met. Though, the way he kept referring to it, my suspicion is that he was fucking with Kira, and that there either was no suck thing as a Malgorian or at least not a two-headed one.
 
Similarly, I always thought Picard was fucking with the Sheliak when he chose the “Grizellas” to arbitrate the dispute over the evacuation when they completed their hibernation cycle in 6 months, and that there were no such thing as a Grizella. That he knew the Sheliak would acquiesce and just give him the 3 weeks he was asking for to evacuate the colonists instead of waiting half a year. I mean Grizellas/grizzly bears…

Could be the name was a cutesy holdover from first contact with them by the humans, but I thought it was a just bluff.
