That confused me as well. (Maybe it was something from AVP: Requiem? I've not seen that one yet...) I thought Piglet losing his face was supposed to be like Hicks getting acid splashed in his face in Aliens and burning off half his face.I don't get what those bug things were that caused Piglet to, err, lose face.
I think Eeyore survived, too; he just wanted to be put out of his misery. That was awesome!
But why does Pooh Bear survive the Alien bursting from his chest but not Eeyore?
Yeah, but look at the caption. "I guess if it's not too much trouble, somebody should come down here and kill me." Eeyore is clearly still alive at that point. Very damaged, but alive. And, since Pooh survived a chestburster, there's no reason Eeyore couldn't as well. Eeyore, being Eeyore, wouldn't want to survive, though.
I don't think it's so much that Eeyore would be genuinely suicidal as that it would simply be his nature to look at every situation in the gloomiest possible terms. After all, if he died, he wouldn't be able to keep complaining about how miserable he was.
And I'm not sure you really could kill a stuffed animal anyway.
