Is there any in-canon information about the fate of the Derelict housing the Xenomorph Eggs on LV-426 post-Aliens/destruction of Hadley's Hope colony? I just got done reading the ADF novelization and Ripley and Hicks talked about nuking it along with the colony right before the dropship crashed and burned, but all that winds up happening- as in the movie- is the Hadley Hope colony, as well as its main Atmospheric Processor being vaporized. When I was younger, I assumed that the destruction of Hadley's Hope also meant the destruction of the Derelict but, looking back on it now, I'm not quite sure. Since there are no return visits to LV-426 in any future post-Aliens movies, the matter is never addressed on-screen. Are there any books or other sources that address. This seems like a dangling plot thread that never quite gets. Come to think of it too, is the Sulaco ever recovered/salvaged?
