Aladdin

Anyone know why Disney has not released Aladdin on Blueray here in the US? I had been reading that is was scheduled for February of 2013 but Peter Pan took its place.

When I heard about the stage musical of Aladdin I though Disney decided to hold it until the musical premiered. But the premier has come and gone and still nothing. And if there were any plans to release the Diamond Edition or Platinum Edition at that time, the death of Robin Williams can't be used as an excuse because the stage musical opened in March and Robin Williams died in August.

It seems to have been skipped right over with Tarzan, Mulan and Pocahontas.

Anyone have any ideas or know anything or heard anything that might explain why Aladdin has not been released?

Yea I've been wondering too, only with a re release of the DVD. Last time it was, was back in 2004 . Haven't found it again, aside from Amazon.

It's bizarre because I'm pretty sure it's been released on Blu-Ray in other countries. I've been wondering what's going on with this as well.

Yes it's been released on Bluray in the UK and other European countries, just not here.
