AICN's rumor on movie plot?

Captain59

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
I'm sure it's being discussed somewhere...I just cannot find it. Can someone link me to where this is being talked about?

Thank you.

was this not the plot to a classic book called the Killing Time?

Romulans messing with history, role revesal for Spock and Kirk, erase the Federation?

#24 · Killing Time · Della Van Hise

so will the movie be the slashy version or not? :-)

I don't believe one word AICN says. That brain-damaged site is so full of pure, steaming, festering bullshit it has zero credibility with me. I wouldn't believe them if they told me the sky was blue.

Well Spock will be a flaming gay man in the film.

AICN claim they know 'a whole f--king lot more about this movie than you do'. and cite that they had debunked McAvery as Scotty in advance of other sites. but in my experience AICN's method of being right or wrong is to throw tonnes of stuff out there, some of which will be right, but a lot of which will be wrong, then point to the right stuff and say 'aren't we great!' when it's confirmed.
I hope to God the story outline they're reporting is one of their wrong moments.

Isn't messing with the timeline with displaced Romulans too easy a copout.Seems to me, that IF there's any truth to the rumors that the plot is nothing more than an excuse to be able to reboot the series.I don't have any problem messing with canon here and there, but do think it's very wrong to change Trek in a way where all events in TOS,Next Gen,DS9, and Voyager were rendered as having never happened.Even if that IS the case, the events in Enterprise would still for the most part(sans frozen Borg)left untouched.

I got no problem with TNG, DS9 and VOY being decanonized. I enjoyed TNG and DS9 but they weren't so good that they were untouchable or anything.

Nothing's ever going to be "decanonized." Making it harder for trekkies to rationalize the whole mess into one comfortable whole is not the same thing as the studio disavowing any part of it. ;)
