Agents of SHIELD season 2 News, Rumors, Pics, etc. until release...

There's very little that is actually being said about AoS's future. Like usual, almost no one outside of the Whedon family and Marvel knows what's coming up but if/when news brakes, I figured some of us would like to hear about it.

News sites believe season 2 will start late September, like before.

Spoiler: potential Avengers: Age of Ultron spoiler.

It seems Antoine Triplett will be making an appearance in the next Avengers movie.

I hope there are fewer small gaps in this season since they'll be airing the 8 episodes of Agent Carter around the new year's break.

And take a look at this new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy. I guess it proves Sif was wrong about "none of the others have ever tried to visit Earth". Not sure if I'm hoping G.H. is Kree or Inhuman.

I read that the plan(and those of course never change) are to air AoS episodes(22 in the season) uninterrupted, then break at the usual late Nov/early Dec time frame, show the 8 episodes of Agent Carter, then resume AoS uninterrupted till May.

So 30 episodes, 30 weeks, assuming a late Sept start of Tue 9/30 and that takes us up till June 3. Which is way, way past the point of shows ending on the Prime Time TV slate. Maybe a 9/23 Tue start as well to back it into May.
Perhaps they double up on an Agent Carter and then an AoS as well to trim that back into mid-May.

I'm still kind of holding out hope that the season could end the week before Age of Ultron, but that would require it to end the last week in April. It's possible, but they'd have to start in the beginning of September.

Which leaves me wondering: how much of a time gap do they plan to leave between TWS and AoU for AoS to have its own adventures occur between? From IM3 to TWS seems to have been decided to be 18 months roughly...

^I'm betting they'll start after what's been already aired in the theaters. Similar to how they opened the first season after Iron Man 3.

Oh, there's no question it'll start after Guardians of the Galaxy comes out because that's August 1. I don't think the season can realistically start that early.

The question is if they'll end before or after Avengers 2. Unlike Captain America, Avengers is a bit later in the season (as opposed to April).

It would be neat if they treated AoS as a prequel to Avengers 2 giving SHIELD a way to return to the movies (if Coulson can get things in order before then).

I genuinely doubt that SHIELD will have a big role in the movie. The whole point was to decouple SHIELD and the Avengers.

I don't think it's been done before, letting a television show handle what's to come in an upcoming movie, but AoS could be the first. My opening spoiler could be an indication that AoS might have a bigger role in upcoming movies than before.

Shield was the thread to connect these monumental movies and create the Avengers. Now that's not necessary, TWS has now helped bring down SHIELD to a manageable TV budget level.

They don't need to be the connection to the movies. (Though any appearances would be gratefully appreciated)
