What would be a good age to introduce the original Scooby Doo 1960s TV series to a girl? 5, 6,7,8, 9?
It being a non-violent Saturday morning program with a mystery formula and great nostalgia for me I wondered what age you'd recommend introducing Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! to a child?
Do you have experiences you can share in the past 10 years with the Internet and now mobile devices taking up so much info-tainment screen time of how you introduced and how the show was received by the child and maybe friends and other siblings?

I was eight years old when it came on the air and I loved it. I don't see why it would be any different for a girl. I'm sure an earlier age would work just as well.

My 4 year old granddaughter is obsessed with Scooby Doo at the moment. She almost constantly calls me Fred as we go around finding clues and solving mysteries. Scooby Doo is excellent for young girls as it has some really good role models for them.

Me too.

Turn it on and let her decide. If she likes it she'll want more. If not, she might appreciate it later.
