Advertising Budget?

I keep seeing and hearing these astronomical figures for the type of budget Paramount had for advertising on Star Trek. I don't know how all of that works exactly, but it seems to me that with all these companies partnering to make products for the movie (and insert products into the movie) that the costs wouldn't be that high at all. The following companies were somehow involved:

Burger King
Intel
Nokia
Verizon
Kelloggs
Esurance
Playmates
IDW

That's some serious firepower. And you just know Budweiser kicked a couple dollars in for that little line.

I've just been wondering where some firm budget numbers are. I've only seen unofficial numbers about the production budget, and the marketing budget numbers are only educated guesses. Are there any official numbers?

Not sure about that, but I did notice that Anheuser-Busch (makers of Bud) got a 'special thanks' at the end of the credits.

That's part of what they bought and it's general Hollywood courtesy. They pay for a mention and in exchange the get the mention and their brand in the credits. Sort of an "added value".
