Admiral Robert April in Trek 11.

Bones1864

Admiral
Let's see Admiral Robert April in Trek 11. He can be seen briefly or as part of the story as the former Commander of the Enterprise. Part of the tale can involve him offering advice to the new Skipper of the NCC-1701, Captain Christopher Pike. Hearing one or two refernecs about young Lieutenant Commanders Robert Wesley and Ron Tracey would be Mint ! Admiral Robert T. April started the 5 year Mission Program ?

He should be an animated character who is superimposed into the live-action film. He should always be nude, and he should be voiced by the guy who voices Carl on "Aqua Teen Hunger Force."

He always addresses Kirk with, "Hey there Fry Man."

Wasn't there an opinion- supported by the board in general or not- that Sam Niell would be the best casting decision as April?

Just curious as to whether or not I'm not suffering from delusions here.

Well, those are two separate questions.

Robert April should be played by Robert Ryan.

I mean, they can move his arms around with sticks, like a Muppet.

There was a thread on this very mater quite a few years back in TOS forum.

I have always wanted to visualize April with an Australian kind of accent and to look like Neill. I even photoshopped a load of images to support my ideas, then i find out im not the only trek fan who wishes this to be true.

Sam is a great actor, and i would love it if he took on the Trek franchise even in a supporting role.

Ill have to dig out my images, he suits mustard/gold uniform, which is a bonus.

Gene Roddenberry should play him.

Yeah, good luck with that one. :)

They need to work O.J. into the film. Any ideas on what part he could play?

He murders Aprils wife and thus April goes on a vigilante mission. He gets let off because the specialty Gorn-Hyde-phaser-handle-griping-glove is smaller than his own hand.

Then in the sequel, there is a massive chase/battle scene where the 'as yet unnamed' character steals a small ship and flees federation law men in a high speed galaxy chase worthy enough to be shown on 'Rescue 911'

If you didnt mean 'Simpson' then who cares, its a laugh.

He should be a gaseous entity and Sulu should whisper to Chekov "this guy's a GAS!" after he makes a joke.

I meant Orange Juice, the breakfast drink, actually. But you're right, it was a laugh. ;)

LOL.

After i had typed it up i thought that maybe you guys in this forum somewhere had an in-joke going from another thread about someone/thing called O.J., thats why i mentioned it.

Good thing at the end they leave him behind on the Life-From-Nothingness planet that's at the crux of the story. ;)
