ABC's Secret and Lies

Gryffindorian

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Starring Ryan Philippe, KaDee Strickland, Juliette Lewis
Sundays, 9 - 10 p.m., ABC

I've been watching this series from the very beginning, which stars Ryan Philippe as Ben Crawford, a suburban family man accused of murdering a 10-year-old boy who turned out to be his son.

SPOILER ALERT

Tonight's finale shed some light on little Tom's murder, and my prediction was right. I figured it was either Abby, Ben's youngest daughter, or Jess, the mentally unstable next-door neighbor with whom Ben had an affair and fathered Tom.

Throughout the series, Ben is portrayed as a man with a penchant for making bad decisions that only makes him a target for the relentless Detective Cornell (Juliette Lewis). Tonight's episode was no different as he decided to take the fall for Abby. :vulcan:

Anyone else watch this show?

Shhhh.

I had to stop reading half way through your post because it started to feel spoilery for something that aired a couple hours ago... And you should have started this thread nine weeks ago. ;)

I'm %70 sure that beardo is an imaginary friend.

(EDIT)

Please think about editing the first post, or put in some spoiler tags.

Revealing the name of the murderer a couple hours after the episode airs, the culmination of 10 weeks viewing, is a bit of a dick move son.

(Sorry)

I'm going to get back to the Royals now, and never forget that Timon and Pumbaa were Rosencrantz & Guildenstern all along.

You put an equals sign in there between the word spoiler and the second bracket. if you want to, you can then put an explaination after the equals sign, and before that bracket.

It took me 3 episodes to recognize Kadee Strickland, because they made her calm down her accent, you can still hear it or she's not as southern as her birth site would indicate. Kadee was a shining light in Private Practice and a heck of a dancer. :)

Have you seen the original Australian version of Secrets and Lies?

It's only 6 episodes long, so your lot did have to invent some busy work to stretch the "adventure " out, maybe for compare and contrast purposes it could be interesting?

The whole way through, I thought Ryan had an IQ of maybe 80?

Juliette Lewis played a slutty bartender in Wayward Pines (awful, just awful.) last week. It's weird to think that it's the same person, but then that's why they call it acting. ;)

I didn't realize this was based on an Australian TV show. I'd be interested to see the original.

To me, Ryan Philippe doesn't look convincing enough to be a father of two teenagers (unless he got someone pregnant in his teens). But he is 40. Man, I wish I looked that young.

Condom's are only 90 percent effective.

But he seems to be the sort who thinks that he can get away with a wad of cling wrap and a rubber band.

I didn't find him convincing as a painter.

His clothes were so clean. Not a fleck or spot of paint on any of his apparel, ever.

The show was a mess and I'm glad i didn't bother watching the middle episodes because i didn't seem to miss anything.
