"A Voice For The Voiceless”

the first tale of the Star Trek: The Machinima Series, entitled “A Voice For The Voiceless,” in which Patrick Phillips of Pensacola, Florida, who not only wrote and directed the adventure using avatars from the Star Trek Online Website, he also did all the voices in the episode (yes, even Uhura).
The Good: This is the first fan production I’ve seen that uses the uniforms from Star Trek XI. Nevertheless, the episode also made good use of background music from original Trek.

‘Voice” also does a nice job of carrying a message to its viewers about animal rights and abuse by putting a contemporary theme in Star Trek terms. Well done!
The Bad: Because Philips uses animation found in Star Trek Online, every once in a while, we have a huge view of an empty room, or members of the crew standing quite far apart. In addition, no one’s lips moved when talking. Still, it’s pretty obvious who was speaking because that person’s head would move a bit to draw our eyes to that individual.
you might also want to look at the first act of Phillips’ next Trek project: “Return To Gothos.”

Not a bad first effort from one person. The dialogue editing was choppy but the 720p visuals were very good especially the space ship exteriors.

That youtube account is messed up. How are we meant to know which is the first epsiode?

I cannot understand why fan film sites don't organise their films for people easily to watch.

A good first review. I am still working on chapter two of Return to Gothos. This episode will likely only have two chapters in it, not to worry though, episode two will be my best yet I think. It will feature some of my own artwork and a few surprises. I know you guys are going to like it. It will likely be ready within the next two weeks.

And the episode three preview link on the reviewed page is messed up, here is the correct link

I am kind of excited about about episode three, my picard voice, while not precise, is closer to the way the actual actor sounds. I have never been happy with my kirk voice. I am toying with the idea of time travel in the third episode, not sure yet, I will let you guys know though.
