A Time... 10 years later on Dead Kitchen Radio

Admiral
This month on my podcast Dead Kitchen Radio: The Keith R.A. DeCandido Podcast, I look back at the A Time... series. This month marks the tenth anniversary of the release of A Time to be Born by John Vornholt, which kicked off the series. I served on that series as continuity cop (for all of it), co-editor (for Books 3-4), editor (for Books 5-8), and author (for Book 9) on that series, and on the podcast I discuss the genesis and development of the series, as well as a look at how that nine-book saga has influenced 24th-century Trek fiction in the decade since.

You can get the episode here, and you can also subscribe to DKR on iTunes.

GAH! Can trampledamage or another mod fix the thread title to remove the italics coding? I forgot that the thread headers don't take that....

I wish we had a less cumbersome blanket title for the series, one that wasn't a sentence fragment and an ellipsis. Sometimes I want to call it "The Ecclesiastes series." Or maybe "The Turn! Turn! Turn! series"?

I need to listen to this! Thanks for the heads up KRAD.

I like this idea, The Ecclesiastes series was one of my favorites by it's end

How long does it usually take for the podcast to populate into iTunes, Keith? I'm still just seeing episode 36.

Heh, "The Turn! Turn! Turn!" series is pretty funny.

I was always fond of referring to it as the "Ecclesiastes maxiseries." Or "A Time preposition..."

I'm in the middle of it now, but fantastic podcast! I love insider baseball on the Trek novels. Where are all the other author's weekly podcasts?! I'm looking at you David Mack!

Actually, DKR is monthly, and I have trouble maintaining that schedule. (I started out doing it twice a month. That didn't last long... :) )

I don't have time to record podcasts. Hell, I don't even update my blog most of the time. Would you rather have new novels or a podcast?
