A Star Wars Comic is a fan-made monthly anthology series exploring the small moments, characters, and themes of a galaxy, far far away. Each comic is six-pages and they are released on the 25th of every month.

This one focuses on a handmaiden (bodyguard) to the current queen (president) of post-Republic (currently Imperial-run) Naboo, Ardome, who serves Queen Lorinda, and how she deals with her planet being occupied by the Empire. Here's an excerpt:

More hits than misses I'd say. YMMV of course but I'd say the standouts so far have been the 'Vader' & 'Doctor Aphra' comics, and the novels 'Ahsoka', 'Dark Disciple', 'Bloodline', 'Lost Stars', 'Thrawn' and 'Leia, Princess of Alderaan'.
