I haven't yet had a chance to actually watch the film, but it seems to have had a very positive response over the opening weekend, so now I'm more interested. I put the spoiler tag in case this evolves into a general discussion/grading thread. 
The basic premise is that Earth was invaded by a dangerous alien species that hunts by sound, and some small groups have learned to survive by adopting a nonverbal existence. Emily Blunt stars alongside her real life husband John Krasinski. It's primarily a thriller/horror film.
