A question about "Spock's World" Possible spoilers for the book.

In this novel there is a gigantic creature described that lives under the sands of the desert that apparently is sentient IIRC. It is shown interacting with the paleolithic Vulcan who taught the others language before their sun flared. And it also seemed to communicate with young Surak when he was wandering around despondent of his people possibly destroying themselves. Was this creature ever talked about in any other books or any of the companion books (or the wikia sites for that matter).

I'm thinking they called it the Underlier, but I'm not sure.

^The sand creatures appeared again in the Tuvok biography chapter in Jeri Taylor's Pathways, which drew heavily on Spock's World for inspiration. I don't think anything else has acknowledged them, though.

It's safe to say that the statute of limitations of spoilers for that book ran out as soon as the new millennium rolled around.

Ok, I'll have to read Pathways again, I don't remember him encountering the sand creature.

It's never wrong to warn about spoilers :)

Once a book is out for a while, it's then not against the rules to not warn about spoilers, but if you think of it, go for it :techman:
