On a half serious level, why are they making another movie? The sets are built, these people aren't exactly superstars, how much could it possibly take to turn this into a weekly series. Obviously the the endless pros and cons could be just as endlessly argued.

Keep in mind that a new movie takes much less time to do and makes millions more than any new season. I don't think we will be getting a new Trek series until at two more movies are done.

I just want to know what the hell these people are going to do with my next movie. It's mine I tell you mine. Non trekkies begone. If the Shat is not in this movie I am done with Trek forever.

Actually, I'm sure there are enough people here to support a fairly strong thread about Vulcan still being blown up. For my part, I'm kicking around the idea of starting one on what planet Marty McFly is now going to tell his father Darth Vader came from.
