Well since we don't know anything about it I fail to see how bashing, criticizing, or complaining about it is even possible.
That will not stop some people from doing it anyway.

It's possible. Throw out some somewhat likely speculation created inside one's own head, work up to a pure fury over it, then post a rant with many angry faces and exclamation points. Simple, really.
I will demonstrate:
If Trek 12 doesn't have the number "12" in the title then it is a brutal slap in the face to all the films that came before it!! They're trying to erase our Star Trek like it never existed!
They're crapping all over the old fans by saying "we don't give a damn about you or your 10 films" If there's no "12" in the title I'm boycotting!!! There. Not so hard.
I hear Trek 12 (more or less what it will be referenced as) will take place in space. How do you think this will be worked into the story? Will you find it believable?
Another method is to pick something the new film clearly demonstrated can't happen in the future, and get mad all over again as it pertains to the next film.
The next movie should have had a Pon ffar sequence on Vulcan - the only place it could take place - but that has been ruined.

Knowing little or nothing about it never deterred a lot of people from bashing, criticizing or complaining about this movie.

I think the Trek XII forum should open when the sequel is officially greenlighted (greenlit?)
Maybe you guys can start the daily box office reports for XII as well.
