My sister-in-law always makes fun of my brothers and I when we "geek-out" over genre stuff like Star Trek. My older brother (her husband) winds up half-apologising/defending his interest to her. Having said that, she loved Star Trek XI. She said after the opening scene she was completely drawn into the story.
