A Nightmare on Elm Street anticipation thread.

A thread for anyone who's looking forward to the promising reboot of the Elm Street series! i've been a fan of this series since i was a kid and this should make Freddy creepy again instead of comical.

Jackie Earl Haley might be a good replacement for Englund and this looks quite fancy.

Well, Craven already made Freddy creepy again in the superior New Nightmare, superior to the previous 5 movies of course, I don't know about this new one.

I'm not exactly on the edge of my seat for this one, but i'll certainly give it a chance to prove itself to me.

Not all horror movie remakes suck ass, some can be excellent or good or bad.

What do you think of these remakes of the genre?
The Thing.
The Fly.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978.
King Kong 2005.
The Blob.
Cat People.
Cape Fear.
Toolbox Murders.
2001 Maniacs.
The Crazies.
Night of the Living Dead 1990.
Dawn of the Dead.
Willard.
The Ring.
The Hills Have Eyes.
Last House on The Left.
Wizard of Gore.

Great ones!

Some fair ones:
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
The Amityville Horror.
Friday The 13th. (Even though it's more of a sequel than an actual remake)
Halloween.
The Wolf-Man.
Body Snatchers and The Invasion.
House on Haunted Hill.

Terrible ones:
Psycho.
The Fog.
The Wicker Man.
King Kong 1976.
April Fool's Day.
Prom Night.
etc.

It actually looks more slick than I expected, but saying that my expectations aren't really up there.

I'll check it out if it's on TV.
