Actually I wouldn't have minded the “Terminatrs” of Trek on DS9.

If done right

They showed us war is Hell, & sometimes the only solution. Hell for the Feds, s, s, s & especially them s, who became Dough Boys of their own choosing {Dukat's choosing anyway}.

The war became Hell for some aficionados too as it never effing ended till WYLB

The war went on & on & on & on & on. I was hanging in suspense off the edge of my seat wondering who was going to win

How could the Dough Boys win the Great Galactic War {GW I possibly, inevitably}? They're fightin' the UFP & Pals

STPTB&B should've whacked the Dough Boys in January of 1997.

The hit should`ve been outsourced to the , the Bad Wormhole Aliens, or some other powerful Trek Ultimate Badass

When the Fed's entered Dominion space, the Dominion said "This is our space, stay out", then the Fed's said "Screw you, we do what we want, send in the Odyssey!", yup, defending against a war that was your fault really is the only solution left if you want to live.

But Tom Paris said the NAZIs were the Borg of their day. That was a great line. Aliens playing NAZIs on Voyager was pretty ridiculous. That is about when I stopped watching the show. I only started downloading it from the internet after it was off the air. There are still episodes I haven't seen.

When the Fed's entered Dominion space, the Dominion said "This is our space, stay out", then the Fed's said "Screw you, we do what we want, send in the Odyssey!", yup, defending against a war that was your fault really is the only solution left if you want to live.

That's assuming the Dominion owned all the space on the otherside of the wormhole, which they clearly did not given it took over a year for anyone from the Alpha Quadrant to even hear of the Dominion.

If the Dominion really wanted the Feds out all it would have taken was a blockade of the Gamma Quadrant side or they could have destroyed the wormhole. By all accounts they did everything they could to keep the wormhole open by not directly threatening any traffic coming through and then by sabotaging a serious attempt to close it.

Plus apart from the frankly crazy plan to try and sneak a warship to the Dominion's secret and hidden "capital" the Feds at least tried to avoid the Dominion when possible.

Yep, in defense of the Feds and Sisko; they were only doing what they usually do-explore.
The only one's who'd ever heard of he Doms were Quark and Friends-and they'd "never heard of the Jem'Hadar"

The Dominion was well aware of the Feds/Cardassians/Klingons (prolly Romulans too) through their spy network in the AQ

Destroying ships, colonies, and anything else that moved wasn't exactly opening up the lines of communication.

A Vorta could have come through the WH landed at DS9 and handed Sisko a list of demands...like stay out of our side of the WH.

Well, I actually liked PATTERN OF FORCE on TOS. For its time, barely 20 years after WW2 (it was a war in the mid 1900s for you yongins') it was ballsy to have Shatner/Nimoy (Jews by the way) trying to prevent a world from following Hitler's pattern...
