A Hotline Between All Nuclear Powers

I was reading the most recent issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology and it pointed out there was no hotline between nuclear armed nations Israel (and possibly) Iran.

IIRC, there is no such link between enemies Pakistan and India or North Korea to the U.S./South Korea.

Seems to me that it would be a good idea if all the worlds nations that have nuclear weapons (or near to it) had a hotline link such as the teletype machines that connect the U.S. and Russian govts.

Though the U.S./U.S.S.R. hotline was only used a handful of times, (by LBJ, Nixon & Carter IIRC), many think that just having a hotline available helped reduce tensions and threat of war because it gave near instant direct access by each nations leaders to those of their enemies without things having to go through back channels and through diplomatic niceties.

Note, I was informed that such a hotline now exists between Pakistan and India since 2004. But I believe one needs to exist between India and China, and India and the U.S., et cetera as well.

There were serious responses to your identical post in TNZ, so why not answer them instead of starting a duplicate thread here? Closed.
