Nice! Good to see traditional media.:) I noticed your sig said Springfield, MO. I grew up right near Joplin, my family is still up there. (I'm currently residing down here in central Arkansas...)

Nice work!

Thanks, guys, I was wanting to draw a family portrait, and my wife (who was at the first day of the Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo) mentioned she'd gotten a TOS science-branch onesie for our one-year-old. Inspiration and an hour's work took care of the rest.

I'm curious, did you ever do professional illustration? Your style looks very familiar, and I'm wondering if I've seen more of your work.

I actually do draw comic books semi-professionally. Among my work includes anthology pieces for Varied Scaries and Hope: New Orleans (both published by Ronin Studios) and the self-published superhero comic Hypersonic (co-created and written by Shannon Chenoweth). I'm currently working on a solo creation, entitled StompGirl, which I hope to have out in September. I also just recently accepted a writing position with a major comics publisher, but I'm sorry to say it's a bit too soon to go into detail about that. Will soon though. :)

Ahh, OK...I think I had you mixed up with someone else, though. I actually thought you might've illustrated a few of the old Starfleet Academy YA books. (Specifically the first three with Peter David.) Something similar about the shading style...
