That's right, Top41, you are a bonafide nerd. (Welcome to the club, we have punch and pie.)

We may also attribute to Top41 the creation and implementation of the word "drunkl," which if I recall properly was first introduced in 2006 or 2007... at least, that's as far back as I remember paying attention to anything around here...

So let's hear it for one of our favorite posters, mods and curly duals, the inimitable Top41 for having managed to stick it out through the Christmas purge, the cancellation of Enterprise (:lol:) and every other major (and minor) crisis we've managed to create or encounter on this forum (including her drunkl threads.)

Happy 10th, Top41! How you've managed to stay sane after all these years and all these trolls is beyond me, but I'm glad you did!

I really miss the BR drunkl thread... hope its still alive and well (I used to post some pretty bizarre shit in there, sorry lol) Congrats Top on your big top ten :) (I'm less than a year behind you!)

I vaguely remember that poster, I don't think I was a Misc regular when she was here though... does she still post to see this? 10 years is a seriously long time. I just realised I'll celebrate mine in about 4 months. I find myself checking the place on auto, much like brushing my teeth or having breakfast. It's a tough habit to quit, easier to quit drinking and smoking! :lol:

Best drunkl posters of active mods (sorry, Spider is still the overall champ), but your posts were always great. Congrats for ten years!

HA!! Would you believe someone actually handed me two bottles of wine today... but a migraine prevented me from drinking?? Sad but true. :alienblush:

First of all, big, big thanks to 005 for starting this thread. He's been promising (threatening?? :rommie: ) to do it for a while, but when he emailed me the link today, I admit it took me a while to remember why he'd be sending me a TrekBBS thread! I thought he or IndySolo might have finally posted in my Hawaii 5-0 thread. ;) And then I remembered the date!

I actually contemplated registering for about a month back in 2001 after lurking for a while, because I wanted to post my briiiiiiliant theory about who Future Guy was (a Romulan!!!) in the Enterprise forum. I had to share this brilliant theory with the forum (one I was sure I alone had thought of! :lol: Oh, the naivete). Cheesy as this is going to sound, I knew signing up for a message board was going to change my life.

And it has. I've met some of my best friends here, I've met my roommate here and this board was indirectly responsible for me up and moving to California--it was basically the first in a chain of events that led to wanting to come out here.

And, of course, drunkl. A new word was born here! Is it in the urban dictionary yet? It really should be.

But anyway, most importantly, I met all of you wonderful people! From those I've interacted with here, to those I've met once when one of us visited the other's home town, to the friends I hang out with once a week, I'm really grateful for this place and all of the friends I've made here. It's been 10 great years. :)
