A conundrum

My problem is with switching identities though. I could change my name legally but we have interviews for that sort of thing in this country and I can't very well go up to them and say 'I want to change my name from Nick X to John Y so I can trick a TV production company into thinking I am not who I am'. They require proof of identity from auditionees and these can be a passport, birth certificate or drivers license. One of these I will need to fake.
My son didn't have to have an interview when he changed his surname (from his birthname to my maiden name). He did have to supply a reason. Maybe you could Anglicise your name. However even if you do this your old name is still listed on your birth certificate though you could change your name on your drivers license once you have a birth certificare.

EDITED TO ADD - my son probably didn't need an interview because he had used his 'new name' since he was two years old. All his school records, medical records, Centrelink records, bank accounts etc were already in his new name and he only needed to change his name legally so he could get photo ID.

Me whilst at work

Looks geeky enough already. And remember, it's not only your looks that make you geeky, it's how you act and what you say.

You've all misunderstood me, I want the hundred thousand dollars. Being on TV is just the price I pay to get that money.

If anyone knows a better way to make a quick $100k I'd like to hear it..

LOL, like it was so easy to get that money. Be on the show, and be rich - automatically. It's the perfect business model!

Glasses. Stammer. Pocket protector. Talk about Star Wars, orbital velocities, processor speeds, BSG vs. Lost. Make sure you buy clothes from Vinnies that don't quite fit properly. One item should be a cardigan,. Another an anorak.

After due consideration I've decided not to proceed with this project. Too many people know me and if I get on using a false name the producers will find out about it. I understand there might be consequences of a legal nature, especially if I produce a false document to support my claims.

This is a sad turn of events. I guess it was only ever a dream :(
