A BIG Spoiler Is Coming

TBH, it's probably me reading more into Bill's mother than was ever meant to there, since after "The Pilot" I was sort of expecting Bill to be an amnesiac (or fobwatched) Susan. :)

I am expecting the little girl on the Mondasian ship to be Bill, and the mother is just someone the doctor decided probably might be her and would do for the photos since he couldn't find her actual mother....because he probably dropped Mondas Bill Girl off and faked the paperwork at the adoption agency. Which would fit very nicely with him setting the orphan up in Victorian London, and tie everything up Ina neat bow since he has to go save Nardoles bum anyway.

Maybe it ages... Or adapts the exterior to the outside world, or its user.

Or maybe while the Doctor can't fix the chameleon circuit he can make minor adjustments. I don't know
I think Logopolis answers that question.. the measurements made in that, even with the refit block math were off.. when he fixed the dimensional stabilisations, the box was able to be reformatted later during the time war.. or maybe the original box was a shotty disguise try by the faulty chameleon circuit. his tampering in both Logopolis, and the 6th Doctor's fixing it, finally was able to get the right scale down, which leads to the new series look and scale..

I loved the little TARDIS that Clara was holding in "Flatline" that was so detailed and nice. Pity it was a one off studio prop. Not when it was super tiny but when it was first big enough for her to carry, I think that model was like 20 cm tall or something.

Airfix did a model kit back in the Martha and Blue Suit Ten era.

And there were the various "Flight Control" TARDIS toys by Character Options, 1/13th scale, in line with the 5.5 inch figures. Place it upon a surface a "materialization" sound effect bares, complete with the "THOOM!" at the end. Lift it, and it "demats", the long version with the "echoes". Open the doors and it plays the interior sounds (the "heartbeats" for the Eccleston/Tennant version and the humming drone for the Capaldi box). Plus, they had illuminated windows and "police box" signs. A few of the coolest toys Character Options made.

Arguably equal was the 18 inch tall "voice command" Dalek with motion and infra-red sensors. Yes, it actually responded to certain verbal commands, a bit like that scene in "Genesis of the Daleks".

A leaked photo from the Xmas Special has appeared. Look at your own risk.

Looks like we might be getting a new TARDIS for 13

As much as I love the current console room, I wouldn't be against a new one. As long as it keeps a more mechanical feel and we never go back to something like the coral room of the 9th/10th or the PeeWee's Playhouse room of 11's first few years.

That's probably the first Doctors' Tardis

I though so too but a quick Google brought up this:

There's a bunch of other ones out there too. Apparently someone who works for Rubbertoe Replicas (who have a license to make expensive prop replicas*) got to visit the set on a day they weren't shooting, took a bunch of photos and put them up (briefly) on Instagram.

*But not for much longer I suspect...
