A 1701-refit "challenge"

This isn't really a challenge, so much as an idea I just had that I thought I'd throw out here in case anyone wanted to run with it: What would the 1701 refit have looked like if instead of being designed based more on looking snazzy on the big screen ;), it had been designed as a showcase for actual technologies that were shown or at least discussed during TOS? A few examples that come to mind: Engines designed to safely reach Warp 15 like in "The Changeling". Increased automation (though presumably still under control of living beings) like some of what was installed for M5. *The cloaking device*.

I guess really, it could be the 1701 refit, or, an entirely new ship built around this stuff.

Any takers? Anyone familiar with renderings that already exist of such a thing that they'd like to share?

(And no, I'm not trying to get anyone to do commissioned work for free - this is just an off the cuff idea that I thought might be fun. :) )

I can't think of any technology discussed on the show that would really affect the outward appearance of the ships. Maybe the stolen cloaking tech requires tweaks to the outward design? So a fed ship with cloaking might look a bit more Romulan in overall form?

You may be right. But I was thinking of it less from a precise technical point of view, and more of a what-do-YOU-think-Warp-15-nacelles-should-look-like sort of thing. More an idea for artistic inspiration than accuracy. We can argue about the technical merits after there's an image to argue over. It's what we do, right? ;)

I think the refit could be made a bit sleeker, perhaps
