That's great news. :) They were the country's prime tourist attraction, weren't they? It must be pleasing to find that a genuine piece remains.

If New Zealand lost 125 wonders of the world, should we trust you with this one? ;)

I thought 125 people died in the search for this 8th Wonder.

    125 felony indictments.

I wonder how much of the terraces remains. They look like they were quite beautiful.

That's funny, I'd never heard of these before, but I was just watching Billy Connolly's World Tour of New Zealand and he was on the lake where the Pink Terraces used to be and he talked about the history of the area. Pretty neat.

Pity nothing of the White Terraces exists anymore. Glad we found what we found!

The Wiki article says approximately 120 people died in the eruption that destroyed the terraces, so that's a little spooky. :vulcan:

Now if you'd just find those missing Doctor Who episodes we all know are down there, I'll be impressed :p

And I thought this thread was going to be about either finding King Kong or Patsy Kensit's old band getting back together.

Film or videotape might be OK down there, no?

I was actually saying "down there" as in NZ.

    I foresee...

$20.00 (insert appropriate currency symbol) glass-bottom boat rides.

"Look, honey, I think I see something round!"

    Anyway, neat news.
