So it was ganger-Doctor who threw Amy up against the wall, right? That's showing a pretty dark side of himself. Even though he was pretending to be the ganger at the time, I can't think of any other time when the Doctor has acted so violently towards one of his companions. A dark place, indeed.

No, it was real Doctor. They had already switched shoes.

Yeah and best part of that scene was the way The Doctor got Amy to tell him what she was holding back.

The ending was really surprising to me (which is why I'm glad I avoided spoilers). I know people are upset about the dissolving the ganger Amy, but is there any indication that the dissolving process with the screwdriver truly kills them?

I rewatched the ep tonight, and in one of the way-too-damn-quiet-and-way-too-damn-fast dialog scenes, he states that the sonic may not kill anyone. With the help of closed caption, which fortunately works even when you had it turned off when you were originally recording the episode:

Doctor's Ganger: Well, my death arrives I suppose.

Doctor Classic: But this one, we're not invited to.

DG: Oh?

DC: Nothing. You molecular memory can survive this, you know? It may not be the end.

DG: Yeah, well if I turn up to nick all your biscuits, then you'll know you were right, won't you?

...

TARDIS vanishes

DG: This will dissolve her.

Cleaves: And us too.

DG: There may be a way back from this

Cleaves: From being vaporized? How?

DG: Yeah, let's find out, eh?... Geronimo.

Jennifer explodes, but our heros melt away like Amy does later.

Anyway, a pretty good ep. I was surprised that I was satisfied by it, given how dreadfully awful the first part (almost Victory of the Daleks bad) was. I'm debating whether or not to pirate the next ep during the week or be a good viewer and wait. Or both... :shifty:

Jeeze, did I say "ganger-Doctor"? Gah! I meant "real-Doctor", which, of course, was the whole point of the post! :scream:
