Why did you write Syfy implying the channel? when it should have just been scifi and fanatasy. people hate the Syfy channel these days so that probably whey there is not much relies. lol It's funny how its a good year for scifi movies to come out but it has to be one of the worse years in a long time for scifi only (mosty space opera type shows) on television.

The title of the thread threw me too!

My husband and I both discovered this last at the same time through different sources. Some of the list I wasn't super interested in, but other I am very excited about. This seems to be the first year in a long time where there's really a lot that I want to see in theaters.

However on a pessimistic note, I have to count and stuff in more detail, but how many of the 55 here are franchises, sequels, prequels, updates, and remakes? What's the ratio of new and fresh to beating the dead horse?

Red Riding Hood really does sound like Twilight, but instead with werewolves.

And Smurfs sound like shit.

Boy, that is one mediocre slate of superhero movies. Green Lantern, Thor, Green Hornet, all of them look extremely mediocre from the trailers and footage. I'm holding out hope for Thor because of its director.

Howerver, "SUPER", starring Rainn Wilson and Nathon Fillion, sounds like it could hilarious.
