50 Best Trek Quotes (list for a video)

Star Treks

I've been thinking of trying my hand at some basic video editing, which I've never done before, and I've decided on a fun, moderately long video I'd like to make:

Trek's 50 Best Lines

Sort of a mish-mash of really famous lines and line deliveries. This would be, generally speaking, a compilation of the most famous and the most well (or sometimes terribly) delivered lines... ones that are famous among fans. They don't have to be comic.

I'm looking for your suggestions as to memorably delivered lines for this video. I think the final vid will either have 30, 40, or 50 depending on how long this takes me.

Here are a few examples in the "shouting/freaking out" category:

DS9 "In the Pale Moonlight" - Vreenak - "It's a faaake!"
DS9 "Far Beyond the Stars" - Sisko - "It's real! It's reeal! Don't you understand it's real!"
ST II - Kirk - "Khaaaaan!"
ST VI - Sulu - "Shields... SHIELDS!"
GEN - Data - "Oh shit!"
FC - Picard - "The line must be drawn heaagh! This far, no farther!"
TOS "The Cage" - Spock - "The Women!"

But I also want more serious and thoughtful lines, and plenty of comic ones - anything that sounds and looks good, especially famous moments. Spock's "He knows" from City on the Edge of Forever, Data's "Lifeforms" song from Generations, Worf's "Assimilate This" from First Contact, Kirk's "It is YOU I take lightly" from Tribbles, and even Scotty's "I like this ship... it's exciting!"" and Nero's "Fire everything!" from Trek XI.

Any and all ideas would be great. Especially looking for suggestions from the TV series; VOY and ENT are particularly hard.

Thanks

Uhm, I've always felt "Oh, shit" wuz totally and egregiously outta character.

Anyways, Shinzon right b4 Enterprise rams his ship: "Hard 2 port !!!"

Just make a video of Garak's best quotes. Job done. ;)

Seriously, you can't leave out Sisko's "I can live with it" from the end of In the Pale Moonlight. :techman:

DS9 "In the Pale Moonlight" - Vreenak - "It's a faaake!"
DS9 "Far Beyond the Stars" - Sisko - "It's real! It's reeal! Don't you understand it's real!"
To be honest, I'd be happy if you had just these two quotations running on a loop for 10 minutes. :guffaw:

But to answer your question properly, I'd still nominate my all-time favourite TOS quotation, from "Balance of Terror":

McCoy: In this galaxy, there's a mathematical probability of three million Earth-type planets. And in all of the universe, three million million galaxies like this. And in all of that and perhaps more, only one of each of us. Don't destroy the one named Kirk.

I have two Archer quotes:

"To hell with nature" from the episode "Dear Doctor".

"Go ahead, blow yourself up, I'll wait." from "Chosen Realm"

You could also use the speech he gives in "Terra Prime".

Word.

This, for example:
SISKO: Who's watching Tolar?
GARAK: I've locked him in his quarters. I've also left him with the distinct impression that if he attempts to force open the door, it may... explode.
SISKO: I hope that's just an impression.
GARAK: It's best not to dwell on such minutiae. In any case, we have far more important matters to discuss...

"I have been, and always shall be your friend." Spock

"Can I cook, or can't I," Carol Marcus

Kirk - I'm from Iowa. I just work in outer space.

Q - Eat any good books lately?

You could do the 50 best quotes just for Worf. In fact you can find them here.

I am not a merry man!

Death to the opposition!

FIND him and KILL him!

Nice hat.

If you were any other man, I would kill you where you stand!

Maybe Klingons do talk about our honor too frakkin' much. (Paraphrase.)

Then perhaps today IS a good day to die!

Prepare for RAMMING SPEED!

Time? Don't talk to me about time, we don't have the time!

Resistance is Few-tul!

Now, witness your future's end!

Please state the nature of the medical emergency.

I was out saving the galaxy while your grandfather was still in diapers!

It was...fun...

Jean-Luc, blow up the damn ship!

Everybody remember where we parked.

No, I don't like it. I LOVE IT! ;)
But how???? Its SO unnatural and stagy and hammy. Its just freaking awful.
When have you EVER seen someone act like that in real life?
Well, I guess I don't want Sisko to act like someone from real life. In all honesty, I really appreciate Avery Brook's stagy and theatrical way of acting. To me he uses just the right amount of hamminess before going overboard with it. I never felt it was too much.

But obviously our mileages seem to vary. :)

TNG - "Brothers"

"The only way we knew we'd come out of warp was by looking out a window."
- Will Riker, First Officer USS ENTERPRISE-D.
