It looks like an official made-for-marketing clip from Syfy that was released early. Either way, it came out yesterday, was removed, but some fans have already saved it and now it has been re-uploaded.

So far, what I've seen seems positive, looking forward to it.

I'm glad they are using a standard milky way gate here, and it spins! hehe

I'm gonna guess it is the Lucian Alliance attacking, though I wonder why they are giving us such a hard time, and why we are having a hard time fighting them, our ships are supposed to be superior to goa'uld ships at least, unless there is like a massive fleet up there.

It seems like typical Stargate SG-1, which unfortunately, is a negative trait for me after the culmination of 10 seasons. I didn't see anything particularly compelling or exciting. Hopefully it works better in context.

I'm curious to see it, but how spoilery is it? I'd like to give this show a decent chance and being spoiled in advance (on major plot twists; the premise of a series is not a spoiler to me) definitely does reduce the appeal.

Well, that depends on how much you already know about the series.

I'll assume you know the premise of the show, which is that a human base, Icarus, is attacked by an enemy and they are forced to flee through the gate, and they end up on the Ancient ship Destiny. Well, this clip is basically that attack leading to just before them going through the gate.

I'll also assume that you know the 9th chevron of the Stargate is somehow related to it as well...

Yep, I know all that. I just want to get some inkling of how good the cast is.

Hmm, the nerd character seems likable rather than grating - that's a good sign - but overall, these actors are a bit on the hammy, overdramatic side. Let's hope they settle down a bit.
