5 funnniest drama;s of all-time?

- Bones
- House MD
- Six Feet Under
- Emergency Room (How many times do you get to see a cast's asshole see flattened by a helicopter?)
- JAG/NCIS

1. Buffy
2. This Life
3. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (it often did funny moments in serious episodes better than comedy episodes)
4. The X-Files before season 6 (though Dreamland was funny)
5. Farscape
6. Angel (loses points because of The Girl in Question, a comedy episode that was unfunny and awful in every possible way)
7. Firefly
8. The Sopranos ("Pine Barrens")
9. Six Feet Under
10. Star Trek

Of course, The Office would be high on the list if it's considered drama, but it's usually classified as comedy. Though I have to say that at least The Office UK is a lot more like drama than comedy. (I've only seen the early seasons of The Office US so I don't know what it's like now).

Is Dr Who considered drama? If yes, then put it at least at #2.

Deadwood

It doesn't get more dramatic than a show about cutthroats, in a territory with little or no law, & yet the characters & their elaborate speech were just pricelessly hilarious at times, even in the grimmest of circumstances. The wit of that show is unsurpassable, imo

Shows that are really are essentially dramas, i.e., serious, as most people would understand it?

St. Elsewhere
ER
The West Wing
Burke's Law
The Closer

I found House to uncongenial to watch but judging from what I have seen, I imagine it's the current champion in this field.
