At first I thought that one cadet might be a Tellarite. Now I'm wondering if he's a Nausicaan or Chalnoth redone for DCS. He seems a bit tall for a Tellarite, but has the piggy nose

Those dress uniforms really do make them look like futuristic preachers.

Now all you need is a Crucifix shaped Holy Saber to complete the futuristic setup.

Kind of like Father Remington's Holy Saber from Chrno Crusade.

    That's a sword I can get behind.

ETA: I finally figured out why I like Tilly so much. She minds me of my boss' boss. Looks like it could be a fun episode.

I’m pretty sure that Gorev, the cadet in question, is a Tellarite, because it matches the look of the Tellarites previously seen on Discovery, to me. ‪‪I hope to find out in the new episode!

And let's be frank, the Chalnoth would never join Starfleet, would they?

That’s what I’d figured as well. I’m enjoying seeing Tellarites and Orion Cadets in 32nd Century Starfleet.

That's along the lines of what I'm thinking. Except for Picard, I think DSC is the launching pad for all of Star Trek's live-action series, going forward. SNW, S31, and SFA will have all branched out from it.

Idle speculation: I think Culber is going to officially switch positions and become a Counselor full-time. Those photos suggest a counseling office. This is a second chance to show what a full-time Counselor would be doing, if true, as opposed to what Troi did by normally being seen sitting next to Picard saying, "I sense... "

Don't forget Ezri, who taught us counselors also solve murders.

I sense a quirky crime show in the making. She just needs to team with a gruff law enforcement officer, who doesn’t like her unorthodox approach, but appreciates the results.

That's what one of my psychology instructors wanted to do when she did ride alongs with police for welfare checks.

Well, most crime dramas on TV today usually involve untrained civilians solving murders which have the trained and experienced investigators completely stumped.

It probably dates back to Sherlock Holmes. Holmes solved crimes the police couldn’t
