40 cringeworthy examples of 70s mens fashion

My Favorite CringeWorthy Footware from the 70s, was my pair of Platforms I got at a Store in the Chicago area called "Pickway".

They were a lot like these:

A lot of clothes from the 70's seemed to be inspired by Native American, or Western designs. It looks silly these days, but now women's fashion is very retro-Indian or Asian, or flowery. In 20 years that is going to look very ridiculous.
My own tribe are especially famous for their ceremonial velour tracksuits.

My Fashion "Tribe" (The Pale Fail People) were once widely renowned for our love and display of the "Elephant Bell" pant.

Many is the time we would wear them on The Hunt...

Depends on which part of the 70's you're talking about. The early 70's are still grooving to the hippie vibe and that includes a lot of Native American and Western designs. Look at the fringe jacket Roger Daltrey was rocking at Woodstock.

Or it could be right back in style.

Personally I don't care what's in style. I care about what's comfortable for me, and if others object, they have my permission not to look.

Yeah, "Native American" has been trending for a good decade now. I put it in quotations because there are major issues with appropriation in the use of a lot of design. I'm guessing by "retro-Indian" or Asian,@TremblingBluStar means the South Asian inspired trends? But that was more a late '90s, early '00s thing, and also rife with ethical issues.

I do agree some of it looks downright ridiculous, though, and thank god things like the puke-worthy Coachella headdress trend is on the way out.
